YOUTH MODEL PARLIAMENT — YMP2026 APPLICATION FORMS

Youth Empowerment Consortium is an organization which promote youth participation in governance and socioeconomic development through the creation of a Model Parliament, a Model Cabinet, and other platforms for policy engagements. We are about policy and not Politics.

Within our youth Model parliament, are youth leaders, Community Development Agents, Ministers, Ambassadors and Entrepreneurs of age 20-40 who represent their communities constituencies, and other special interest. They move motions for debates and highlight the concerns and challenges of young people of issues such as Youth Employment, National development policies, Political party Manifestos, state of the economy, Youth contribution to Economic growth, challenges in their communities and etc.

Youth Model Parliament-YMP focuses on three main areas of Human Development:

A) The Head (Intellectual Development)
B) The Heart (Character Development)
C) The Hand (Skills Development)

What you can expect from Youth Model Parliament of YEC:

1. To undertake projects, seminars and initiatives aimed at mentoring and developing the Leadership skill of all members.
2. We place high value on each member as a potential leader for the future. Therefore, progressive and intensive Strategy to give members exposure, personality profiling and branding is key to our drive and focus.
3. A guaranteed platform to engage Government, Policy and Decision makers through the free medium of Radio and Television as part of our programs.
4. We assist you build an enviable CV with proven record of work for your career by creating the opportunity to engage with Government and Private sector.
5. Periodic boots camps and fun leadership activities.
6. To provide you an avenue to network and develop meaningful relationships with like minded professionals and impact driven mentors to guide you through your professional career.

You can join YMP if you are:

1. A Ghanaian of age 20-40
2. You can read, write and understand basic English.
3. You are passionate about leadership, Youth Activism, policy development and governance.
4. You have basic experience on leadership of both self and others.
5. You have no criminal Record

You will either be an MP, a Minister or a Diplomat but not an combination of any. Kindly select the options as made available.

Note: The 2026 program is a competetive one which will have just one declared representative to a constituency seat. It will undergo a voting exercise to offset your one year program fees. You will need a little over two thousand votes. A vote will be one cedi. There is an option where you can pay your fees as well.
